Blackout Poetry (Week 1)

W A K E

the lovely night finally relented

light move about slowly

fueled by quiet promises

F O G

the sudden motion was powerful

he started to move

she grabbed in the direction of his eyes

feeling fog in her head.

Her body was screaming

but she could not

search for a lifeline

turn to magic

replace fire with

comfort

recover quickly and wind upward

talk

talk faster

She couldn’t help but surrender to oblivion

E X H A U S T

apathy retired her spark

her burning truth

her awareness

her bliss

 

I know I owe you guys two more for week one, but some of them will carry over from December. I did eight poems then!!
