A whole lot of books from a whole lot of places. I spent the whole day traveling around Los Angeles checking out the independent bookstores, something I hadn’t yet done even though I’ve lived in LA for TWO WHOLE YEARS. Good god.
Vroman’s was my favorite.
The Lemon Grove – Helen Walsh
The Dinner – Herman Koch
Everybody Rise – Stephanie Clifford
From Skylight Books
Ear to the Ground – Paul Kolsby and David L. Ulin
The Fortress of Solitude – Jonathan Lethem
Sweet Bitter – Stephanie Danler
The Virgin Suicides – Jeffrey Eugenides
All My Puny Sorrows – Miriam Toews
Modern Lovers – Emma Straub
Britt-Marie Was Here – Fredrik Backman
From The Last Bookstore
Jonathan Unleashed – Meg Rosoff
And NO, guys, I don’t normally get this many books in one outing… lol though I’d be lying if I said I didn’t wish I could.
